I am spending a part of my summer at a very inspirational place called the Sitka Fine Art’s Camp. I am working with over 50 of the 300 kids here at Middle School Camp. All of these incredible students have jam packed days and can take everything from: Violin Master Class, to Rock Band, to Modern Dance, to Partner Acrobatics, to Black and White Photography, to Fairytale and Legend Writing, to Animation and Playwriting! They are able to explore their creative selves and find the artists that resides in every young human being.

I wish I had more free time so that I could take all of these classes from these world renowned faculty members! We are privileged to stay and create on the historic and beautiful Sheldon Jackson Campus, which has been restored through thousands of volunteer hours. We can look out of our dance studios and see docks of boats, water and beautiful islands in the mist. I am so lucky to be here this summer and reunite with both students and my fellow faculty members form last summer, they inspire me everyday.
